In this role, you'll:
Support Transport for NSW in carrying out its consent authority functions in the Sydney Harbour Foreshores and Waterways Area through the efficient assessment of development applications and section 4.55 modification applications.
Provide statutory and strategic town planning advice about maritime property and land management matters, development, and activities in and around coastal ports vested in Transport for NSW.
Support stakeholder communications, establish strong working relationships with colleagues across the agency and other government agencies and demonstrate collaborative ways of working through participation in working groups and other committees as required.
Represent Transport for NSW as an expert witness in the NSW Land and Environment Court.
This is a Permanent full-time role with a CBD home based location This is a Hybrid role; it will combine virtual work with in-person days at your team’s home base.

About you
You are an urban and regional planner with experience in statutory planning, assessing complex planning matters and stakeholder engagement.
Can demonstrate a strong understanding of the NSW planning system and its interaction with the waterways of NSW.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
Hold tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
