ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Project Planner, you will provide scheduling guidelines to project management to make sure the project progress is in line with master schedule; to provide support to commercial team on EOT assessment against contractor’s EOT claim.
KEY DUTIES AND TASKS
- Operating P6 Primavera to schedule fixed plant maintenance.
- Holding daily supervisor meetings and updating the Gantt Chart.
- Create fully detailed schedules with a clear structure for multiple projects.
- Effectively communicating with all levels of management.
- Responsible for the preparation and adjustment of the overall project execution plan, weekly plan & monthly plan.
- Responsible for the design and delivery plan, equipment delivery plan, transportation plan, equipment pre-assembly, steel structure, processing plan and other professional plans based on the comprehensive preparation of the project.
- Coordination and management of the project progress.
- Adjust the project related plan according to the actual situation. Analyse the existing problems, put forward measures and suggestions for improvement to catch-up, and regularly organise and summarise the relevant situation in a timely manner.
- Preparing a weekly, monthly analysis and comparison report.
- Inspection and appraisal of the implementation of the company’s project progress.
- S-curves in the implementation phase of the project and the analysis of the overall project manpower.
- Conduct EOT assessment against Contractor’s EOT claim/ NOD submission to assist Commercial team by providing EOT assessment summary outcome reports.
- Participate on contractors weekly interface/SIMOP meetings with changes to schedule (what-if scenario) to resolve site access issues/safety concerns.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to Planning and Scheduling in complex programs.
WORK KNOWLEDGE
- 5+ years' experience in multi-discipline project planning experience
- Significant experience in schedule analysis and procedures including full life-cycle of projects from engineering design right through to commissioning.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Expert in the scheduling program Primavera P6
- Base computer knowledge.
- Able to use Excel, word, AutoCAD, MS Project.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to create positive relationships with contractors, suppliers and co-workers.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills; High standard of presentation and be well spoken, friendly, helpful and thrive in construction support related role.
