The North Coast Cancer Institute offers fantastic employment opportunities for Radiation Therapists to live and work in the gorgeous NSW North Coast. We are bringing together a Radiation Therapy team to work in the brand-new Tweed Valley Hospital, located in Kingscliff. Our modern services will include IMRT/ VMAT, comprehensive stereotactic services, SGRT & 4DCT and image-based treatment protocols. The Team at Tweed Valley Hospital will work in close partnership with colleagues at Lismore Base Hospital, leveraging existing best practice and experience. We pride ourselves on delivering the best possible care to our community and are looking for staff who have a passion for person-centered care.
The Senior Radiation Therapists will be responsible for providing technical leadership and daily operational management to a small team of Radiation Therapists. They will rotate between all areas of the department, including CT, planning and treatment. This role will have the opportunity to contribute to protocol development, people growth and development, quality improvement initiatives, and research.
We’re excited about moving towards a new phase in service delivery, with the new Tweed Valley Hospital due to open in May 2024. We have the opportunity to bring the new team onboard in the lead up to opening for ample time invested in training and team building.
If you are:
- Eligible for general registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Radiation Therapist and eligible to hold a current EPA NSW Radiation User Licence.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work successfully in small teams.
- Have demonstrated experience with dual energy linear accelerators, electronic verification imaging, and experience with CT interfacing 3D treatment planning systems.
- Have an understanding of current Radiation Therapy, QA and radiation safety principles and practices and identify future developments in the profession.
