MGC Solutions (MGCS) is a key provider of Infrastructure Services, delivering works in the Public Utility, Railway, Signaling, Mining, Electrical and Communications sectors across Western Australia.
MGCS are currently looking at expanding our experienced Signalling Design team.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Signalling Engineer for an opportunity to work major projects in WA. The successful applicant will be a subject matter expert on rail signaling and provide technical leadership to the respective signaling teams on a project-by-project basis.
- Preparation of railway signalling designs, including verification in a collaborative team environment.
- Signalling conceptual design development.
- Design verification and validation (Microlok II interlocking)
- Preparation of design reports, bill of materials, power calculations, etc.
- Ensuring that the signalling designs conform to relevant standards.
- Participation in signalling commissioning activities.
- Technical interface with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with project planning, progress and bids.
- Participating in risk assessments, safety in design and interdisciplinary reviews in a collaborative team environment.
Essential
- At least 10 years’ experience in signalling design.
- A previous Signalling design verification experience for wiring design, control table, signalling plans and data design.
- An experience in Microlok II wiring and data design and verification is desirable.
- A relevant degree or tertiary qualification.
- Ability to attain RIW competencies.
- MicroStation or AutoCAD knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a flexible team environment.
