Senior Site Contract Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join an EPCM client of ours to work in a site based position on a major mining project. In this role you will be responsible for:
Contract Tender and Award Process:

• Drafting tender documents to match specific package requirements in collaboration with relevant disciplines.
• Issuing and receiving tenders, proposals, and associated submissions.
• Evaluating submitted tenders, negotiating contract terms and conditions.
• Coordinating technical evaluations, responses to non-conformances, and clarifications.
• Conducting evaluation/clarification meetings with tenderers.
• Preparing tender evaluation reports, shortlisting recommendations, and award recommendations.
• Drafting conformed contract documents for award.

Post Award Administration:

• Ensuring receipt of contractor documentation, including insurance, bonds, and securities in accordance with the contract, and securely storing them.
• Conducting weekly progress meetings with contractors.
• Monitoring contractor performance and approving invoices.
• Drafting contractual correspondence to the contractor.
• Managing and negotiating variations and claims.
• Maintaining comprehensive contract files.
• Closing out contracts upon completion.

Key Criteria

• A recognised business degree or equivalent, preferably in law, business administration, quantity surveying, or a related field.
• Prior EPCM experience in similar positions
• Experience in site based roles
• Strong experience in the award and administration of major construction projects
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective coordination abilities.
• Computer literate with experience in using integrated contract management systems.
