This position is based at Royal North Shore Hospital. The role may involve clinical work in any of the acute wards across the hospital.What you'll be doingThis Social Worker will work collaboratively with other members of the Complex Discharge Team and staff across the acute wards to provide holistic and patient-centred care. This Social Worker will provide a high-quality service to consumers, carers, and families to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Social Work or equivalent.
- How have you demonstrated the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex and critical nature?
- In what ways have you demonstrated the ability to provide in-depth advice, education, and support to enhance service delivery with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff?
- How do you demonstrate well developed skills in time management, prioritisation, liaison, and negotiation?
