Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications/ Membership : Bachelor Degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Extensive experience in working therapeutically with children and families who present with significant emotional, behavioural, and/or mental health difficulties
- Demonstrated evidence based skills in the assessment and treatment of children and their families presenting with complex mental health issues in a developmental framework
- Specialist knowledge in areas such as trauma, attachment, systemic interventions including experience in providing family therapy
- Demonstrated ability to provide consultation, supervision and training to other professionals including more junior health staff and students
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to build therapeutic relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with other service providers to achieve optimal outcomes for children and families
- Current valid NSW drivers licence and willingness to use it for work purposes
