Senior Specialist Analyst

About the role:
As the Senior Specialist Analyst you will be responsible for managing the Intelligence and Data Insights team in Family Violence Command at Victoria Police. Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Policy and Reform Division, you will be responsible for leading a small high performing team to develop and deliver effective intelligence and statistical products, methodologies and systems to support Victoria Police's work in the crime themes of family violence, sexual offences and child abuse. You will also support work across Family Violence Command to support the delivery of front line services through the provision of data and insights to support strategy, policy, projects and legislative proposals.

Your duties will include:
* Leading the development and production of strategic and other intelligence products within the themes of family violence, sexual offences and child abuse.
* Working with the other teams in Family Violence Command to support projects, research, data and intelligence products through the provision of data and insights.
* Facilitation of Family Violence Command data requests.
* Support the Family Violence Command Executive Leadership group with reports, briefings and trends analysis as well as expert advice.
* Provision of quality assurance and advice in relation to evaluation proposals and methodologies.
* Building relationships within Victoria Police and with external stakeholders working in family violence, sexual assault and child abuse intelligence, research and data areas.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
* Experience in intelligence and data insights to provide advanced expertise.
* Proven ability in providing complex strategic analysis and providing briefings for executives.
* An ability to forward think and engage in strategy and planning across teams and divisions, including forward thinking on trends and emerging issues.
* Strong leadership, coaching and management skills.
* Ability to effectively and efficiently manage your work area and high volumes of requests.
Requirements and relevant information:
* One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
* This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
