About wiq and our Strategy & Analytics Transformation team
Wiq is a business unit bringing together the best of Woolworths and Quantium to unlock the power of data to reimagine retail. We build innovative advanced analytics solutions to the most complex problems for Woolworths Group and the retail industry globally, creating a better tomorrow for our team, customers and communities we serve.
Our wiq Insights team supports the delivery of Woolworths’ customer centric strategy through customer and market insights to key decision makers across Woolworths Group. Our team is on an exciting journey. We are evolving to step away from simply being providers of data to the business to truly embedding customer insights and analytics into daily decision making.
What you'll do
You will support a high performing and evolving analytics team working on a diverse range of business problems and will have direct responsibility for cultivating a customer first and data driven decision making culture across the Group.
Your advanced stakeholder management skills will see you effectively engaging with stakeholders across all levels, manage competing priorities on a regular basis and work with business teams to optimise the use of the teams resources for the best business outcomes. This highly-visible, hands on, role forms part of the wiq Insights leadership team and will be responsible for managing discrete projects and providing strategic support:
Key responsibilities:
- Lead development of customer and market insights self-service platform strategy; building on lessons learned and momentum from various initiatives run to date
- Achieve reduction in legacy bespoke analytics initiatives requests through successful diversion of business requests to self-service options
- Own the transformation agenda for Group’s self-service A/B testing analytics platform; increasing utilisation of the platform and further embedding into WOW processes
- Develop business relationships across a number of business units and across various career levels that help drive strategic outcomes
- Proactive identification of additional opportunities to improve Group data-led decision making through customer and market data
- Manage engagement and delivery from internal and external partners and work in joint teams and provide active guidance in the course of key specific strategic projects
- Develop compelling business cases that highlight ROI and strategic alignment & Support delivery of various transformation initiatives that support our strategic objectives
What you'll bring
We’re looking for someone who is curious and open-minded, comfortable in a fast-moving environment and dealing with ambiguity. You will be ready for a challenge and demonstrate a passion for retail and analytics. Along with a strong, core strategy toolkit you will have:
- A passion for analytics and the “so what” behind the data
- 6+ years experience in strategy, preferably from a top-tier strategy consulting or data analytics firm; or corporate/in-house strategy
- Depth of experience and knowledge of complex problem-solving, project and change management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with middle and senior management stakeholders
- Ability to develop clear, compelling and high quality storylines and presentations
- Self-motivated, effective problem solver and project manager, overseeing the progress of multiple projects to build and deliver the strategy through to implementation
- Leadership capabilities and the ability to work well autonomously and in teams in pressured and/or ambiguous situations
- Solid understanding of the analytics and product development lifecycle with prior experience in successful implementation of new analytics platforms / tools in large corporate environments
- Previous retail experience is highly regarded
