Senior Tax Accountant

We are a Chartered Accountants firm located in Richmond Victoria specializing in providing quality tax, business management accounting, bookkeeping and advisory services to our range of small to Medium enterprises and high net worth group structures.

Due to our continued business growth and success, an exciting opportunity now exists in our firm for a Senior Tax accountant who can start immediately and has experience with Financial statements, payroll, BAS preparation, Xero and Xero Tax.

Practical training on a frequent basis will be provided to the successful applicant.

Key responsibilities:

• Compilation of financial statements for companies, partnerships, trusts, and superannuation funds
• Preparing business tax returns for the above entities
• Preparing income tax returns for individuals
• Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
• Client consultation and successfully undertaking all communications with clients

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• CPA or CA qualification or studying to this path
• Minimum 3 years' local experience in tax and business advisory
• Strong communication and organization skills
• The ability to multi-task and meet targets/deadlines
• Ability to quickly build excellent client relationships
• Self-motivated and a team player
• A proactive attitude and a desire for more client interaction
• Competent in using various software such as Xero Tax.
