Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.
Together with the requirements of the role description, our ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of technical service delivery for new and upgraded DMN end user computing and peripherals, ensuring alignment with best practice ICT service management and delivery frameworks.
- Provide expert, responsive service for local applications to Metro North Health customers through the build, test and implementation of digital and ICT devices and systems and remedial action to ensure service levels and quality standards are maintained during the implementation of new or upgraded IT systems.
- Provide a sound level ICT technical expertise in accordance with departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITIL processes, in order to ensure the availability of local ICT devices and the supporting operational environment.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Technical delivery - Ability to undertake and lead tasks in a dynamic project environment, adhering to building workplace health and safety standards, procedures and agreements.
- Technical knowledge & experience - Proven experience of technical knowledge and skill, or the ability to quickly acquire an expert level of technical knowledge and skills in the configuration, support and maintenance in any or all relevant devices.
- Technical design - Demonstrated skills in the analysis of digital and ICT system issues, the effective formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions, monitoring and promotion of emerging technology, competency in the design and build of components and interfaces with the ability to take the lead on practical integration work and define the technical criteria for product/component selection for use within a high-level complex environment.
