Your key accountabilities
- Lead the design and deliver QPS education and training courses and programs using evidence based adult education techniques and training best practice strategies.
- Lead and manage a diverse range of education and training projects through the design, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of QPS education and training courses and programs.
- Liaise, consult and negotiate across QPS business areas to conduct needs analysis and assess cultural training requirements; and advise on and develop the educational strategy to produce effective adult education and training courses and programs.
- Provide professional strategic advice to support senior managers, consultative groups and committees in relation to education and training trends, delivery strategies, opportunities and issues, including impacts on existing and new QPS education and training courses and programs.
- Prepare high-level advice, reports, submissions, briefing materials and correspondence for senior management.
- Cultivate and maintain effective and appropriate communication and collaboration with QPS business areas, multicultural / First Nations peoples and communities, representatives of government departments, and external agencies in order to identify efficiencies, consistency and enhance service delivery outcomes relating to education and training.
- Fostering a stimulating, equitable, ethical and safe working environment for staff which encourages commitment, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Design evaluation, feedback and quality assurance frameworks to gauge the effectiveness of education and training activities and implement processes and procedures for continual improvement of education and training courses and programs.
