About the role
What you need to know:
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with both internal Underwriters and external Brokers.
- Undertake ongoing compliance and regulatory training as required.
- Responsible for all administrative tasks associated with assisting the underwriter with the full lifecycle of a risk.
- Pre-filling of Major Accounts Pricing / Rating tools with requisite underwriting information
- Completion of AIG data entry, quote generation and booking systems
- Maintenance of UW file checklists
- Inputting data for renewals
- General file maintenance,
- Downloading of submission documentation
- Updating IT systems
- Checking closings received from external Brokers for accuracy,
- Generating policy documents and certificates of insurance for review by Underwriters
- Working with Underwriters to clear unallocated cash
- Develop and improve office systems on an ongoing basis as directed.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Present a professional and positive company image to clients and to colleagues. Work effectively as part of the team.
- Demonstrates understanding of basic insurance principles
- Able to navigate and switch between multiple proprietary, vendor, web-based and standard computer systems.
- Able to use PC applications (Windows, Outlook, MS Word, Excel and data processing systems)
- Works in an open, collaborative, and transparent manner
- Will seek assistance and ask questions when unsure
- Maintains a positive disposition and optimistic approach to work
