About the Role:
Collaborating with the renowned John Deere lineup of equipment, your role will assist in the coordination and directing of all service department workloads to maximise efficiencies in the department. We are seeking an individual with a strong organisational skills and a dedication to customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and provide on-time reporting relative to the service department
- Coordinate the booking of customer repair jobs and assignment of the jobs to the service department
- Open work orders, perform quotes and maintain control until closed/invoiced.
- Keep customers up-to-date on the progress of their jobs
- Facilitate internal communication and coordinate external enquiries to the Service department
- Assist in the scheduling of technician on-the-job training and coordination of team safety meetings
- May assist in providing performance feedback of service technicians to the branch Service Manager
- Prepares warranty and product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission, and follow-up with the Group Warranty Department.
As the successful applicant you will have:
- 3+ years experience in a dedicated service department or administrative related role
- Ability to lead, coach and train others
- Familiar with the John Deere product
- Ability to use standard desktop applications
- Familiar with basic financial and accounting principles
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Forklift license preferred (we can help you with this!)
