About the Company 
Vela APX is one of the operating groups of Constellation Software Inc (CSI). CSI is listed on the Toronto stock exchange (CSU) and acquires, manages and builds industry specific software companies across the globe, providing them with strategic guidance and financial security. 

Vela APX provides finance, admin, payroll and HR support to our growing number of software companies across Australia, New Zealand, India, the UK, Japan, the US and Singapore. 

About the Role
We are currently pursuing a continuous growth strategy and are looking for a skilled and talented Service Desk Specialist who will be responsible for management of the Vela internal support platform Autotask. This role will support the Systems Integration Manager to plan, coordinate and maintain the assimilation of new software applications and programs into acquired and existing businesses.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Eight Mile Plains head office!

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Providing support to our clients 
  • Delivering product specific requirements, administration, configuration
  • Writing documentation 
  • Testing and analysing solutions for support 
  • Identifying future enhancements based on customer needs 
  • Being the first point of contact for incoming support tickets 
  • Supporting all Vela staff with ticket queries 
  • Following up and updating customers with status and information
  • Passing on feedback or suggestions from customers to the integration team

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Information Technology from a recognised Australian University or equivalent qualification 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with PSA Software Autotask is desirable
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Significant field experience in IT environment and/or finance and accounting 
  • Willingness to work the hours required to meet tight deadlines 
  • Strength in negotiation skills to navigate possible conflicts with end-users and/or management who struggle to adapt to change
