Myxa Care is a registered NDIS Service provider assisting people with disability, their family, and carers. We deliver individually tailored services to maximise participant choice and control. We aim to support our participants to empower them to achieve their goals and live a full life.
Your new role
As the Service Manager you will provide high quality support in the daily operations of the organisation and help lead all participant relation activities. This is a work from home opportunity, with travel to Myxa Care facilities a requirement of the role. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Oversee the management of our support services to ensure we are providing high-quality services that are compliant with NDIS practice standards
- Oversee the management of our support services to ensure services are being delivered in accordance with the participants care plan and within the participants allocated budget
- Develop and implement processes and procedures which enhance the quality of services being provided
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, their families and the participants care team to promote positive outcomes
- Meet with current and potential participants, their families and the participants care team regarding support services
- Manage and oversee the intake process of new participants into services
- Promote and manage vacancies within our SIL properties
- Promote Myxa Care’s support services and support the management team with the implementation of strategic business planning
- Ensure participant documentation is regularly reviewed and meets compliance requirements
- Provide direction and guidance to SIL Managers around service matters including complex issues, risk management and incident response
- Oversee the management of any reported incidents and Workplace Health and Safety issues
- Conduct performance reviews for staff reporting directly to you
- General administration duties
- Review and ensure individualised care plans are developed and implemented according to participants needs
- Participate as required in staff meetings, supervision and training sessions
Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualification
- Previous experience in a comparable role within the Disability sector
- Ability to communicate and appropriately respond to the needs of people with disability
- A thorough understanding of the complex needs of people living with disability
- Strong understanding and experience in delivering services according to NDIS Practice Standards
- Experience coordinating and maintaining support services for NDIS participants
- Knowledge of NDIS funding
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate on all levels
- Knowledge of legislation and WHS regulations
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- A high level of computer skills including Microsoft Office Packages
- Initiative, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Driver’s licence
