About the Role:
Our Melbourne Branch is looking for a Service Supervisor!
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Assign jobs and work areas to Service Technicians according to their skills and knowledge
- Supervisory responsibilities such as managing performance, absence and gaps in technician skill set
- Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate problems and respond promptly
- Respond and follow up on employee issues and concerns
- Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials and labor and approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer
- Work with the Service Manager of Supervisor in all aspects of the Service Department
- Meet with Service Manager on a regular basis to review Department performance, profitability, efficiences and personnel matters
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Relevant Trade Certificate - Heavy Diesel Fitter/ Mobile Plant Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
- Experience in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs including electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic
- Strong supervisory / management experience with the ability to lead, mentor and develop your team.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the deign and function of John Deere and Vermeer equipment will be highly regarded
- A current and valid drivers licence.
