Form of workBCDS is seeking a Service Technician and Support Junior to join our dynamic team.
BCDS is a growing Australian technology company with national and global projects developing solutions and products for automatic data capture applications.
Based in the Sutherland Shire suburb of Kirrawee.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance related to BCDS products and solutions.
- Provide customer with telephone/email support for service-related issues and troubleshooting.
- Perform test, diagnostic, repair and functional confirmation of Barcode Scanners, Barcode Label Printers, Hand-held Computers.
- Perform Service Maintenance at customer site (based on SLAs).
- Follow-up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
- Escalation and liaising with Vendors on reported technical related cases.
- Provide start-up documents and user guides for customer.
- Prepare and compile all the periodic reports for both internal and customer reports.
- Developing and growing the service and maintenance business.
- Selling maintenance agreements.
- Upselling products and services to customers.
- Assisting field engineers when required
- Preparing demonstrations for prospective customers
- Service Administration - looking after service department's quotes, purchases and invoices as well as inventory control.
About you:
• Technical Education in Electronics/Electrical Engineering preferred
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the business
• Motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
• Passionate about making a difference and look for opportunities to get involved.
• Must have a current driver’s license
