In this role, you'll:
Work with the Commercial & Supply Chain team within our Engineering & Maintenance branch of Sydney Trains, focused on the Day of Operations for our Hornsby Maintenance centre.
This role will focus on the service support aspects for Sydney and wider New South Wales with the materials / components required to enable all the maintenance tasks to be successfully completed that keep our transport services for our customer needs reliable and safe.
You will be involved in the service support for the 'Day of Operations' at this Fleet maintenance centre dealing with a vast array and variety of materials and parts that could range from paints to train doors and mechanical /electrical parts.
This is a role that will see you act as the 2IC for the site and collaborate with a variety of people and work with our inventory management system to manage the components, quantities and stocktaking required to successfully accomplish your service support requirements for the site.

About you
Your experience in managing inventory for a complex warehouse environment will ideally see you have a current Forklift Licence and the ability to work with an Inventory management system. You will also have a current Class C Australian motor vehicle driver's license.
You're recognised as being able to manage high value warehouse components and enter and capture data and run reports, as you will manage the actual flow of materials using SAP.
As an individual, you bring an awareness of safety critical environments, a duty of care and a can do attitude to problem solving that combines with your strong work ethics and procurement skills.
This is a Permanent Full-Time frontline Award RC4 role where you would be based at our Maintenance centre in Hornsby, where you will join the RIW (Rail Industry Worker) Program and attain a RIW Card, if not already a current member. This role will see you working mostly standard hours each week Monday to Friday - 6am to 3pm, with occasional 2nd shifts.
