About the Role:
We are seeking applications for the position of Service/Support Engineerfor our Head office in Murarrie, Brisbane. You’ll be part of a supportive team, backed by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals in the team. This role is a full time position Monday to Friday.
This position would ideally suit an engineer with an electrical/electronic engineering degree. Electrical trades people or technicians with industry experience would also be considered. An understanding of 3 phase power distribution networks and the protection techniques commonly used in the industry would also be advantageous.
An ability to communicate clearly in English will be required.
Applicants with experience or skills in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- · Medium voltage distribution network protection techniques.
- · Detailed understanding of communications protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-101/104.
- · Secure IP based communications networks.
Primary Role:
· Provide support to customers for electrical switchgear products and software.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for the following tasks:
- · Provide product training to customers.
- · Record field calls in the call tracking system
- · Conduct acceptance testing with customers
Qualifications:
A qualification in a related technical area and experience with protection relays, SCADA communications protocols and RTU’s will be highly regarded.
A second language – particularly Spanish – would be highly regarded.
