About the Role
Embark on an impactful role as the Sexual andReproductive Health and Wellbeing Project Officer or Coordinator at the Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health (CERSH), a dynamic initiative fostering improved sexual health services in rural Victoria. As a key contributor reporting to the Senior Health Promotion Manager, you will spearhead complex workstreams, collaborating with diverse communities and stakeholders to drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of projects aligned with CERSH's strategic vision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, implement, evaluate and report sexual and Reproductive Health and Wellbeing initiatives for priority population groups, in partnership with relevant communities, networks and agencies.
  • Identify initial priority locations and settings though consultation, mapping, needs analysis
  • Promote the project through CERSH mediums (Network meetings, E newsletter, formal/informal partnerships etc)
  • Assess and build interest and viability to enhance rural workforce engagement and capacity for Sexual and Reproductive Health promotion

Who We Are Looking For
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering teamwork and partnerships. Your strong planning and organisational abilities shine in dynamic environments, showcasing initiative and autonomy.

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in either Health Promotion, Education, Public Health, Community Development, Nursing, or similar.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Sexual and Reproductive Health issues in rural Victoria and of contemporary sexual health promotion practice.
  • Familiarity with the organisation of typical university structures and systems as well as a deep appreciation of the workings of complex organisations.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
