SHINE SA is a leading not-for-profit provider of primary care services and education for sexual and relationship wellbeing. We work in partnership with government, health, education and community agencies, and communities to improve the sexual and reproductive health and relationship well-being of the community.
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sexual Health Counselling Team Leader (see Job and Person Specification for the appropriate qualifications) at SHINE SA, based at our Woodville site but with flexible work locations including our Hyde Street practice as well as some work from home opportunities.
In this newly created role, you will work with the Director of Clinical Services and Counselling to provide leadership and management for our growing counselling program and team members to help best serve our communities of interest. You will also manage your own therapeutic caseload, with approximately 75% of your time dedicated to your counselling caseload and 25% to Team Leader activities.
In this role, you will work with and for SHINE SA’s communities of interest on a broad range of issues including but not limited to: relationship and Sexual Health issues; family, domestic and sexual violence; unintended pregnancy; gender identity/gender transition; and sexual identity.

Essential Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Sexology or equivalent health science/counselling tertiary qualification with membership of a relevant professional association (e.g., AASW, AHPRA, APS, PACFA).
- Social workers must be members or eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum 4 years supervised experience (see essential experience).
