Seeking a professional, friendly, and confident individual to join the team as a Mill & Batch Operator/Shed Hand. Based in Simpson, Victoria, Heytesbury Stockfeeds has been a leading name in the agricultural industry for over 35 years.
As a member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in operating the feed mill, ensuring that feed is mixed to customers’ exact specifications. You’ll also assist with customer service, deliveries, and general shed and yard work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the feed mill to mix feed according to customer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
- Delivery of bags to farms
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shed and yard areas
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Support team members in various tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Good mathematical skills for mixing and weighing ingredients
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures
- Industry experience is desirable but not essential
- Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one)
- HC truck license is desirable but not essential
A background or interest in the dairy industry, knowledge of dairy grain feeding, or familiarity with surrounding district, is a definite advantage. But don’t worry if you’re new to the industry, you will be trained in all unfamiliar areas of work.
