About the Role
We are currently in search of highly skilled Sheetmetal Workers with exceptional TIG welding expertise to join our distinguished team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor will play a crucial role in fabricating, repairing, and installing intricate metal structures, equipment, and components. We are specifically seeking individuals with a robust background in metal fabrication, emphasising their proficiency in TIG welding, cutting, and precision measuring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute precise welding, cutting, and measuring tasks, showcasing progressive TIG welding skills.
- Interpret technical drawings with accuracy and proficiency.
- Effectively utilise a diverse range of metal fabrication tools and equipment.
- Uphold a superior standard of quality and craftsmanship in all TIG welding and metal fabrication work.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulations throughout the fabrication process.
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve issues related to TIG welding and metal fabrication.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-maintained work area.
- A Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/Welder) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in TIG welding and metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, with a focus on TIG welding specifications.
- Expertise in TIG welding, cutting, and precision measuring.
- Competence in utilising various metal fabrication tools and equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work within tight tolerances.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
