Reporting to the Export Shipping Manager for ANZ, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of export shipments by assisting with documentation preparation, communication with shipping companies and yards, and maintaining accurate records in our systems. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and the shipping team members to meet tight deadlines and uphold the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and coordinating export bookings with shipping lines.
- Notify stakeholders promptly of potential shipment delays.
- Organize booking rolls with shipping companies and communicate changes in schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipping information in company systems.
- Participate in initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Adhere to safety, health, environmental, and compliance policies and report any hazards, injuries, or unsafe acts promptly.
- Contribute to cost management measures.
About you:
- Previous experience in an international freight forwarding or shipping company container booking management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with BuySellMove (BSM) and SAP software is desirable.
