ZircoDATA is one of Australia's leading providers of information management solutions to the Australian market. We provide a wide range of services including records management, paper storage, vital records archive storage, data protection services, document destruction and document translation. We are in search of a Shred Plant Manager who can contribute to the Operations team and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the site.
The Shred Plant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the site. You will have a hands-on approach within the plant for leading service delivery to customers, meeting standards, compliance and delivering operational excellence. The Plant Manager will also play a key role of leading and motivating the field plant team and Customer Service Specialists to deliver performance through their productivity and continuous improvement.
The primary responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Provide inspirational supervision to operational and transport teams, driving continuous improvement and high engagement.
- Ensure overall productivity and cost-effectiveness of operations.
- Influence safety behaviors and standards, ensuring compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
- Identify and implement operational efficiency improvements.
- Liaise with key customers as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to service issues.
- Lead Shred Customer Service representatives to ensure compliance and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Report hazards and maintain necessary reporting.
- Manage risk, audits, and compliance with company standards.
- Foster a safety culture and ensure staff are trained and competent.
- Maintain plant standards across all sites.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and traits:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role in service industry, plant or warehouse
- Forklift Licence desirable
- MR Licence desirable
- The ability to operate in a busy environment with competing priorities.
- Strong people supervisory skills, with the ability to focus and guide others in accomplishing work objectives, using methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team, facilitating the competition of team goals, while valuing each team member as an individual.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and systems with the ability to identify hazards to ensure a safe working environment for our team members and customers.
- Ability to create and communicate a compelling vision.
- Strong Problem-Solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to lead from the front and be always hands on
