The Civil Division of Alder Group requires a Civil Site Engineer to grow and complement our existing team, with works focussed around Southeast Queensland. All new positions that join our team will be based on projects being delivered from our Gold Coast (Helensvale) office location.

About the role
The role would require a combination of site and office-based tasks to support the project delivery teams.
- Provide the important support to both the site and office-based project delivery teams to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, and in full conformance with the drawings and specifications.
- Maintain Quality Records, Inspection Test Plans and all required Checklists for the project.
- Assistance to Provide, Implement and maintain a healthy and safe working environment on site.
- Ensure records and reports completed are captured in the company’s approved system (Procore)
- Investigating project opportunities and efficiencies
- Review and recommendation of procurement packages
- Analysing subcontractor claims and assessing progress on site.
- Ensure project audits action items are closed out in agreed time frames
- Participate in project start up meetings
- Involvement with project planning meetings, and the regular update of project programs and short term lookaheads.
- Identify, monitor and manage key project risks as identified by project management plans.
- Conducting site inspections and managing budgets and programmes where allocated.
- Ensure that the relevant project team members are at all times advised of the projects financial and administrative standing within nominated limits of authority.
- Post construction: organise completion and finalisation of contract quality matters at the end of the project
About You - Skills and Experience
- Practical experience in a similar role with a reputable Civil Contractor
- Experience on a recent civil and infrastructure project involving typical works that may have involved earthworks, road construction, concrete structures such as bridges, retaining structures, concrete and steel tanks both in and out of ground is an advantage
- Relevant Civil Engineering degree (or similar)
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
- You will also need to be a clear communicator and to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, and project teams.
- A person who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and quality driven
- Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
