Lead by example working side by side with your team. Administrative and management duties are incorporated in this role.
Our Client:
They are a well-established and leading logistics provider with a national presence. They provide storage, handling, freight forwarding and inventory management services for import, export and domestic distribution. Recognised as one of the world’s largest wool and independent cotton handlers they specialise in the agri-business, construction, renewable energy and retail/wholesale industry sectors.
The Role:
Reporting to the region’s Operations Manager the key objective of the role is to lead site operational performance inclusive of WHS, employee performance and implementation of company policies and directives.
This role is best represented by a leader who is willing to be “hands on” working side by side with their team. Well drilled in the logistics industry and ready for responsibility, this role may well suit someone who is ready for the next step in their career. Leading a small team, you will be responsible for all site operations on a day to day basis.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Work Health & Safety to high standards
• Internal and external Customer Service
• Daily site operations
• Adhering to and implementing company policies and directives
• Hope Providing reports as required

About You:
A proactive Leader from a logistics or transport background, you will align with the following criteria:

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate
• The ability to train and mentor direct reports to ensure they can achieve their goals.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• The ability and experience to address performance and conduct issues.
• Strong customer service skills
• Valid forklift licence
• Sound understanding of WHS legislative requirements.
• Proficient PC skills

Formal relevant qualifications are as highly regarded as extensive practical experience. You will also require a current driver’s licence and a forklift licence is essential.
