NES Fircroft have partnered with a power generation company in search of a Site Manager to join their Wind Farm project (Ryans Corner - north of Port Fairy) based in VIC. As the Site Manager, you will coordinate and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of facilities, aligning with company procedures and regulatory guidelines. Reporting to the Head of Operations, your responsibilities encompass asset performance, community engagement, contract monitoring, environmental and safety compliance, cost management, and budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Develop and maintain a safety-conscious work environment.
Supervise site activities, conduct regular inspections, and address potential hazards.
Operation and Maintenance:
Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety and maximizing efficiency.
Monitor annual maintenance plans and collaborate with contractors.
Review and track maintenance progress, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.
Maintain inventory of tools and spare parts, overseeing contractors' compliance.
Community Engagement:
Liaise with local stakeholders, addressing concerns, and attending community meetings.
Propose and implement improvements to optimize operational processes.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with regulations, contractual KPIs, and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with the control room and actively participate in reconciliation processes.
Requirements
- Vocational Educational Training (VET) or Associate Degree, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical.
- Training related to renewables assets maintenance will be positively evaluated.
- 5 years of experience in supervisory roles within renewable energy generation plants.
- Substantial knowledge of plant operations, Australian legislation, and equipment monitoring.
- Significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the work environment
- Open to travel to other sites when required
- Good leadership skills
- Enjoy working in teams and communicating with numerous stakeholders; you will work closely with others in the field but also connect with the wider business
- Strong ability in hosting and managing meetings
- Good computer skills: outlook, excel, power point and word
- Experienced in handling different tools or systems to monitor work and documentation
- Ability to climb a wind turbine
- Valid driver`s license
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
