Working a 8:6 roster, departing from Perth you'll fly directly to Plutonic arriving within 90mins of departure. Once onsite you are accommodated in a well-established camp that boasts a substantial gym, squash courts, multipurpose court, pool, modern ensuite rooms with WiFi and Foxtel, just to list some of the modern facilities.
The Role
Reporting to the OHSET Superintendent, the Site Medic / ERT Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the health of employees through the delivery of professional medical services that include, but are not limited to, clinical medical services, proactive injury management, health promotion and delivery of external medical expert advice on health and medical matters. You will also be responsible for leading our enthusiastic Emergency Response Team.
The ideal candidates will have:
- AHPRA registered Paramedic or Registered Nurse
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue, or equivalent / higher.
- Underground Search and Rescue.
- Rescue experience in firefighting, ambulance, defence forces or any emergency service.
- Current qualifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role preferably in a mining environment.
- Familiarisation with RFDS protocols and Medivac procedures
- Intimate knowledge of injury management processes
- Rural and/or remote prehospital experience
- Sound clinical reasoning and diagnostics skills
- Demonstrated experience working with Workers Compensation Injury Management structures.
- Knowledge and understanding of INX systems
