Offering a range of services to their high end clients, the company specialises in fit-out, heavy refurb and New Build of Corporate Office, Health, Education, Government, Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure sector projects. Incorporating a wide range of skillsets, their refurbishment work can have a large element of structural trades, heavy demolition, facades, steel and concrete (adding or removing levels etc).
As SiteSupervisor / Foreman, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
- Complete daily site diary entries
- Review and manage key project issues
- Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
- Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
- Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
- Assist Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
- Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
- Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works
- Trade or Building related qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
- Construction Safety Induction (White) card
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Desirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
- Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
- Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with SureTrak and Project Centre or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
