Bechtel Mining and Metals are searching for a high performing Structural Mechanical Piping 
(SMP) Field Engineer to join our business.  The role will initially be based in the home office in Perth before transitioning to a site-based FIFO role.

About the Role:
As SMP Field Engineer, you will provide engineering assistance to the Project team, assisting with meeting cost and time schedules, verifying materials, equipment, and quality, and assuring results meet design requirements.
You will perform inspections and initiate supporting documentation for all SMP installations on an ongoing basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Provide support to field supervision in establishing requirements for workforce, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work activity.
-Develop / review installation work packages and construction work packages in support of the construction schedule.
-Execute field material take-offs from "Issued For Construction" drawings.
-Prepare field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitor status of purchase orders and deliveries.
-Assist field procurement in receipt inspection and reporting of associated equipment and materials, preventive maintenance requirements and storage requirements.
-Other responsibilities as designated.
 
What You Bring:
-Degree in Engineering or Construction Management plus 5 years of experience or 8 years of equivalent industry experience in-lieu of a degree.
-Construction experience assigned to a construction site, especially in Western Australia.
-Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
-Good knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools.
-Experience managing Works Contractors.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
