$100,000 - $150,000 per year (depending on experience)About the RoleWe're looking for a talented and experienced SMSF Accounting Manager to join our growing team and play a crucial role in supporting our clients with their property investment strategies within their SMSFs.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge complex SMSF tax returns for clients with property investments, adhering to ATO (Australian Taxation Office) guidelines and legislation.
• Analyse and interpret financial statements and transaction data related to property investments held within SMSFs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage the ongoing accounting for SMSF property investments, including depreciation calculations, rental income and expense tracking, and loan repayments.
• Identify and implement tax-effective strategies for property investments within SMSFs, maximising client benefits while adhering to all regulations.
• Provide clear and concise accounting advice and guidance to clients on managing their property investment SMSFs.
• Liaise with external parties like property managers, valuers, and financial advisors to gather necessary information and ensure seamless client service.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest SMSF regulations and tax legislation impacting property investments, attending relevant training and industry events.
• Oversee and manage the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting records related to SMSF property investments.
• Collaborate with other departments within the company (e.g., financial planning, client services) to ensure a comprehensive approach to client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in SMSF accounting, with a strong focus on property investment.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), or equivalent accounting qualification.
• In-depth understanding of Australian taxation law, particularly as it applies to SMSFs and property investments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable way.
• Proficiency in accounting software packages (MYOB, Xero, etc.)
• Familiarity with SMSFs software (BGL, Class etc.)
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
