About the Role

In the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.

We provide comprehensive solutions in informal restructuring and advisory engagements, along with formal insolvency matters such as voluntary administrations and receiverships across a breadth of industries and businesses of all sizes.

Our team is one of the leading turnaround and insolvency practices, with a market-leading track record developed from delivering outstanding results for our clients and their key stakeholders in Australia and Internationally. We work with corporates, financiers and other key stakeholders with a highly commercial mindset to deliver results.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant (internal title will be Senior Consultant or Director) with between 3 to 6 years' relevant experience. You will gain valuable hands-on commercial experience as a key member of the team with the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals and alongside experienced client management teams.

What You'll Do

  • Work in a supportive environment fostering integrity, creativity, achievement, respect, and empathy
  • Manage day-to-day issues on formal insolvency engagements, including trade-on management, receipts and payments and assist in stakeholder communication both written and verbal
  • Assist in non-formal engagements, including independent business reviews and informal turnaround assignments
  • Prepare draft reports, presentations and other deliverables for third parties, setting out findings and/or results of the agreed scope of work
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare estimated outcome positions for formal insolvency matters
  • Be a supportive team member to junior staff (coaching, training, mentoring)
  • Perform financial, ratio and company analysis and financial and cash flow modelling
  • Undertake business development activities and develop professional networks

How You'll Grow

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a market-leading team, build on their technical knowledge and work across a broad range of industries. You will receive external, internal and on the job training to develop yourself professionally and personally.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-6 years of professional restructuring/insolvency experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in an accounting or finance related field
  • Studying Chartered Accounting (CA) programme or be CA qualified or the equivalent
  • Driven to deliver high quality client service and deliverables with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong financial analytical and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge of fundamental accounting and business/commercial principles
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve best possible outcomes for our clients

Our Benefits
