Form of workPaxus has partnered with a prominent engineering company based in Perth, Australia which is kicking off several infrastructure refresh projects and to support this initiative, they are seeking a talented Senior Systems Administrator to join their team on a contract basis for a duration of 6 months. This role will primarily focus on backfilling a senior resource, handling BAU tasks, and contributing to smaller projects during this critical period of transformation.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's IT infrastructure, including legacy systems and new technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong generalist skills with expertise in VMware, Commvault, Dell storage, Dell hardware, Windows server, Active Directory, and Azure/Office 365. Additionally, experience with PRTG, PKI, Citrix, Powershell, and Dynamics will be considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for legacy infrastructure components such as Dell Blades and Dell EqualLogics.
- Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure refresh projects across two data centers.
- Manage and troubleshoot VMware virtualized environments.
- Administer Commvault backup and recovery solutions.
- Configure and maintain Dell storage solutions and hardware.
- Oversee Windows server environments and Active Directory services.
- Implement and manage cloud services on Azure/Office 365 platform.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience as a Systems Engineer, with a focus on infrastructure support
- Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies
- Hands-on experience with Commvault backup and recovery solutions
- Strong understanding of Dell storage systems and hardware
- Expertise in Windows server administration and Active Directory management
- Familiarity with Azure and Office 365 administration
- Nice to have skills: PRTG, PKI, Citrix, Powershell, Dynamics
