About the role
This role is dedicated to aiding clients who participate in centre and community-based group social activities. This role is based at our Belmont Social Centre and reports to the Social Centre Coordinator. This role empowers clients to maintain their independence while fostering meaningful connections within their community.
About You
You'll bring a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live independently, while also having:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or similar
- Must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday every week
- The ability to work between 0800 – 1600.
- Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating group activities for seniors.
- The ability to follow individualised support plans for each client.
- The ability to assist clients in performing daily living activities (i.e. personal care needs) whilst promoting their independence.
- The ability to accurately monitor, document and report promptly any concerns to the Social Centre Coordinator.
- An LR licence and ability to drive a 21-seater coaster bus (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months).
