Summary
We’re looking for a motivated and energetic Social Media and PR specialist to join our marketing team. Taking the experience you’ve gained in a similar role you will be ready to take charge of creating, developing and implementing EMU Australia’s global Social Media marketing strategy.
After developing an understanding of the look, feel and voice of the brand, you’ll draw on data insights, listen closely, engage with our audience, and communicate with key stakeholders and influencers as you drive our Social Media growth and marketing engagement.
An ideas person, known for your initiative and intelligence, you will champion Social Media and influencer engagement within our global business.

About the Role
This onsite role is located at our Geelong, VIC head office, working as part of a high-performing and fast paced marketing team.
In this role, you’ll have ownership of the global Social Media strategy and be part of the team that oversee the PR agencies and influencers EMU works with around the world.
Communication and collaboration will be key to success working with a range of stakeholders to deliver results.
About You

- You love creating and executing on brand, beautiful and engaging content that gets reach and engagement
- You’ll be a people person who can negotiate in a positive way to secure influencer and PRess placements that promote EMU in line with our PR & Influencer strategy.

- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of high achievements
- Work independently, multitask and demonstrate initiative
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present marketing strategies to senior-level management and in front of a crowd
- 3+ years in a similar role. A retail or e-commerce background is highly regarded
Experience
- Experience and understanding of all digital areas – Social Media, website management, digital marketing, Google analytics, and social monitoring tools
- Strong copywriting skills to write content for Social Media, websites and blogs
- Proven track record in developing and rolling out a Social Media marketing strategy
- Experience working with META (Facebook & Instagram), Tik Tok, Pinterest, and You Tube
- Excellent at planning and scheduling content in advance via a Social Media management platform and in platform
- Experience working with and managing external PR agencies
- Experience managing influencer engagement and management including rate and usage negotiations
- Great at recognising social trends and being able to translate into strategy and creative content briefs
- Have eye for great content and keen to put forward new ideas for the brand
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
- Global Social Media strategy, planning and execution
- Deliver social agenda, budget requirements, delivery logistics, timelines and PRojected reach
- Plan social schedules a month ahead as well as be flexible enough to implement new content at any time
- Social media posting and management using content tools such as Emplifi and in platform
- Develop and deliver Social Media reports to the business demonstrating visibility around success of posts, ads and ROI analysis
- Build technical knowledge to effectively understand and adapt to new and emerging opportunities
- Manage and distribute UGC
- Manage and distribute the Social Media Toolkit
- Training new staff members on Social Media usage and be the internal champion for it
- Work with all relevant third parties including PR and creative agencies to help deliver cohesive content and messaging
- Influencer engagement and management including growing our influencer database
- Present at EMU Australia conferences as the Social Media and influencer ambassador
- Develop relevant content topic, seasonal campaigns, with the objective to reach their target customers
- Collaborate with creative and marketing team to come up with highly engaging social content that drives results
- Management and implementation of Social Media/influencer campaigns and activations
- Monthly reporting for Social Media and influencer marketing
- Manage affiliate programs and platforms including Reward Style, Commission Factory and others as required
- Write blog content using Social Media and influencer content
- Copywriting for catalogues, product descriptions, eDMs and website
- Write online and marketing design briefs
- Work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team but take responsibility for all Social Media delivery
- Provide support for the marketing team, with other tasks, as required
