About the Role: Social Wellbeing Education Manager

At SKillness Institute, a pioneering not-for-profit organization, we're seeking a Social Wellbeing Education Manager who is not just aware of social prescribing but deeply understands the art of connecting people to community assets and resources. This role is about crafting a future that honors our past - a future where community capacity is enhanced, and every individual is interwoven into the fabric of community life.

Your Impact

• Community Development: Lead initiatives to connect educational programs with social and health objectives, fostering a culture of mutual support and resilience.
• Resource Mapping: Guide the community in identifying and utilizing local resources, ensuring equitable access, especially for those less informed.
• Social Integration: Develop strategies for social capital building, enhancing community bonds, and ensuring no one is left behind.
• Education & Training: Create and implement innovative training programs that teach the principles of asset-based community development and practical skills for community connection.
• Relationship Building: Establish strong ties with organizations, community leaders, and structures for collaborative planning and resource sharing.

What You Need

• Essential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Desirable: Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• Experience: Proven track record in community development, resource connection, and education, either in Australia or internationally.
• Skills: Strong in curriculum development, instructional design, and effective communication.
