Social Worker - Primary Mental Health Team

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in Mental Health? As a Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) clinician, you'll be at the forefront of providing essential assessment, treatment, and consultancy support for consumers experiencing high-prevalence Mental Health disorders, including depression and anxiety.

This role, based at our Warrnambool Campus, provides the opportunity to support Warrnambool clients and deliver outreach services to our Camperdown Campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with primary care, particularly GPs.
• Offer primary and secondary consultation to consumers and or their GPs
• Undertake assessment and implement treatment
• Provide supportive interventions for short to medium-term care episodes

Position Overview

• Permanent, Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight with a monthly accrued day off)

What You Bring:

We are seeking individuals with robust clinical skills and extensive experience in Mental Health services. Knowledge of Recovery-Oriented practices, trauma-informed care, and contemporary Mental Health trends is crucial. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are pivotal for success in this position.

Qualifications:

This role is open to candidates with the following qualifications:

• Registered Psychiatric Nurse: AHPRA registration with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Mental Health services (Desirable). Completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
• Occupational Therapist: Registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• Social Worker: Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
• Psychologist: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Salary Ranges

• Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3: $99,739.60 - $102,278.80 pro rata, + super
• Occupational Therapist Grade 2: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 pro rata, +super
• Social Worker Grade 2: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 pro rata, + super
• Psychologist Grade 2: $92,627.60 - $104,811.20 pro rata, + super

This position is eligible for incentive payments for rent, childcare, relocation costs, and more, as part of the Workforce and Incentive Grants Program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
