This innovative service aims to address the issues that are associated with tinnitus through the convenience of telehealth ensuring that veterans across the nation can access expert counselling from the comfort of their homes.
About the role:
We currently have multiple opportunities for experienced and passionate Social Workers to work within an organisation specialising in veteran care. The successful candidates will fit the criteria by working alongside the leadership team, helping develop and implement clinical services, educate and case manage veteran patients.
As a Social Worker in this position, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team working for a private organisation backed by the public health service. You will be providing quality therapy and education-based solutions to the relevant people through telehealth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide education, information, health coordination and support to veterans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient’s – medical history, current health conditions and treatment goals for multiple programs offered.
- Help veterans access counselling and therapy to assist with their service related Tinnitus
- Maintain regular communication with veterans, addressing their questions and concerns when required.
- Case management for veterans
- Assist veterans in completing all required documentation, forms and applications needed for enrolment in any of the programs offered.
- Focus on assisting people day to day with effective communication and service.
- Support continued growth of the organisation.
Requirements for the role:
- Possess a relevant Social Work degree.
- Maintain current registration with AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers).
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in veteran’s welfare.
- Understanding and experience of the what the position requires.
- Showcase proven high-standard written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills and able to work within various computer software programs.
