At Axiom Project Services, you will work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to the successful delivery of our clients' projects. Axiom provides high-end project engineering services, from estimating and cost control to the delivery of major infrastructure and resources projects. Our clients include Tier 1 resource companies, energy infrastructure developers, government-owned corporations, engineering firms, and constructors.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Project Controls team to assist in the development of specialist Project Controls systems that are based on Excel, VBA, SQL databases, SharePoint, and web applications. The role will be to set up and maintain cloud-based platforms (AWS) for shared applications and databases, conduct data analysis, and develop dashboards using Power BI. In this position, you will collaborate with the Project Controls engineers on client assignments and provide expertise in setting up, developing, and maintaining Project Controls systems that are tailored to our clients' needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining company IT assets and software licenses and providing general corporate IT support to Axiom.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Degree in Software Engineering or computer science; an engineering degree coupled with computer science will be particularly highly regarded
- 3-5 years advanced experience in MS Excel VBA
- Advanced software development experience, covering backend (JavaScript), front-end (Angular and HTML/CSS) as well as Serverless exposure
- Experience in SQL databases, ideally with SQL Server Management Studio or MS Access
- Experience with Office 365 and cloud services (AWS and Azure)
- Experience in data analysis and data visualisation
- Familiarity with Project Cost Control and specialist software solutions (Prism, CMS, P6, MS Project) is advantageous
