Solution Architect - Microsoft 365 And Azure

Talent International is searching for experienced Solution Architect with strong M365 & Azure experience to join our client, a Brisbane based Federal Government Department on an initial 12-month contract.

About the Role:
This a key role providing technical leadership for the ongoing enhancement of the agency’s critical operational systems and services. Working with the business and under the guidance of the enterprise architects, this role will be responsible for the creation of the Solution Architecture assisting the agency improve the integrity of the scheme through systemic capability uplift. The Solution Architect will ensure all solutions within their domain are both technically robust and provide the best fit for the business.

The Solution Architect role will focus across one or several of the following subject areas:

• Microsoft 365
• Azure
• B2B & B2C Collaboration

As a Microsoft 365 and AzureSolution Architect, you will be responsible for the consultation, design, and documentation of all solutions for the agency which are backed by the Microsoft 365 technologies.

This role will need to have a complete understanding of the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem to provide targeted, specific advice to the agency to ensure projects deliver on the outcomes and minimise their risks.

A significant part of the role will be collaborating with the key stakeholders around the agency to ensure all requirements are translated into effective solutions that can be implemented with ease.

Duties:

• Deliver high quality Solution Architectures that are fit for business purpose.
• Align solutions with Agency goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture reference models, principles, policies, standards, and the strategic ICT roadmap.
• Engage with the business to understand the tactical & strategic objectives and requirements.
• Provide technical oversight and facilitate complex issues resolution arising during project delivery.
• Ownership and accountability for the delivery of coherent technical solutions across the domain
• Represent the solution(s) being developed through all relevant governance processes.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Demonstrated experience with large scale projects, and/or cloud environments with extensive customer base related to one of the subject areas above.
• Excellent listening, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Broad technical & architectural background delivering Solution Architectures for projects.
• Experience balancing project and program, project, and organisational goals, as well as tactical and strategic drivers.
• Must be able to translate business capability into technical requirements.
• Act as the business’ conduit into the ICT function.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Proven record of accomplishment developing solutions aligned to the assigned subject areas.
• Industry experience across health or insurance sectors
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification
• TOGAF certified or equivalent IT architectural qualification.
