The Principal Solution Architect is a key member of the QAS Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Transition Program delivery team with responsibility of leading, managing and delivering the Solution Architecture across various ICT systems.
The position provides high level support to the ICT Transition Program and Projects Managers through the provision of expert technical advice and recommendations across a broad range of technologies, including developing conceptual and logical Solution Architecture that translate business requirements into implementable systems and solutions.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Proven ability to influence technical design and architecture decisions and extensive experience in developing technical requirements specification, quality assurance and transition to support documentation in a large scale organisation or public sector ICT environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the guidance and contribution to high level initiatives and programs of work using awareness of contemporary architecture patterns and methodologies, infrastructure design patterns, application development techniques, financial principles and analytical techniques.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to providing solutions for highly complex ICT initiatives that includes contemporary ‘on-premise' and Cloud based technologies
- Demonstrated extensive capability and record of achievement in leading, managing and coordinating internal and external technical resources within a complex environment of rapidly changing priorities and needs with limited resources.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate easily understood architectural advice to QAS business units to assist them in making informed decisions on ICT products, services and direction.
