Your role:We have a great opportunity for a passionate and eager Sous Chef to join a dedicated team. In the absence of the Chef de Cuisine/ Sous Chef, you will ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and effectively. You will have strong culinary operations experience and good motivation to drive the team to produce meals that exceed guest expectations every visit.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of two years experience as a Sous Chef
- Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Ability to work Full Time hours over a rotating roster
- Passion for delivering exceptional cuisine
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team of kitchen professionals
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good time management, task prioritisation and resource management
- Knowledge and understanding of management principles
- Knowledge and commitment to Equal Opportunity, Ethical Practice and Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience using Computers and Information Management Systems on a Windows system
- Experience within a 4 or 5 start environment is advantageous
