SOUS-CHEF OR CHEF

Paperbark Cafe in Mt Evelyn is looking to hire an experienced sous-chef OR CHEF.

Paperbark Café is located at Kuranga Native Nursery in Mount Evelyn, at the gateway to the Yarra Valley. Straight down Canterbury road, with nearby public transport. Our customer travel from all over Melbourne to visit our award winning Nursery. We serve high quality food, in a creative and relaxed style. Influenced by flavours of Australian bush foods. Our food is matched by our high quality service and therefore delivering an excellent dining experience.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a similar role.

• Full-time position, 5 days per week. (Starts 7:30am-4pm - NO NIGHTS)
• Day shifts (Breakfast and lunch services everyday 8:00am – 4:00pm)
• Ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded.
• Work in collaboration with the kitchen team and report to the Head Chef and Cafe Manager.

About You 

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Attention to detail and excellent quality control.
• An even temperament and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Impeccable organization, hygiene and presentation.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
