The Property and Security Branch is responsible for enhancing the department's business capability through the effective management of the department's property portfolio, property enabling functions, protective security, emergency management, as well as a range of corporate site services and commercial contracts nationally.
The Property Services team deliver business services across property management, fleet management, business continuity and corporate support activities to regional business areas. This includes management of national corporate contracts and their performance. The role would suit someone with experience in property and facilities management, with strong stakeholder engagement skills. This position is primarily responsible for repairs and technical maintenance of all property aspects to the department's Post Entry Quarantine facility at Mickleham, Victoria. The role supports the Senior Facilities Manager and requires working closely alongside key personnel within the facility.

The duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- Management of preventative and reactive maintenance activities ensuring timeframes are met and works are delivered to a high standard.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance Plans are in place for landlord and tenant plant and equipment.
- Support the operation and maintenance of the physical biocontainment units, in close liaison and consultation with the Director, Biocontainment where works have biocontainment or consignment relevance, to ensure required conditions for the post-arrival quarantine of animals and plants can be maintained.
- Strategically manage a range of project outputs.
- Providing strategic advice and assistance to the Senior Executives and stakeholders based on technical expertise.
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, internal and external, to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation.
