We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Medical Receptionist to join our busy specialist practice. Located in Norwest, our head office boasts easy access to public transport, parking and the Metro light rail service. This is a full-time position with an immediate start available. We are looking for a new team member who is reliable, professional and approachable, with excellent communication and administrative skills. This position is responsible for delivering a high standard of administrative support in a specialist spine practice.
Duties include:
- Answering of telephones, providing information to the general public in a professional and courteous manner
- Making patient appointments both over the phone and in person
- Management of patient medical records
- General office administration, including faxing, filing, scanning and posting/emailing medical letters
- Liaising with case managers and patients in relation to WorkCover claims
- Assisting with receptionist duties during clinics at various locations
- Ability to travel to Chatswood, Northern Beaches, Macquarie Park, Penrith and Camden if required once or twice per month.
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Be able to work unsupervised and use own initiative
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role or health related field
- Drivers license
- Own car
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 in line with NSW Health directives for medical practice employees
Desirable Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
- Experience using medical software – Genie preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of Medicare and Health Fund billing
- Dictaphone typing
