About the role
We are seeking a casual medical receptionist who is customer service oriented, proactive, keen to learn and has good computer skills along with a great positive attitude !
Some of the core duties will include:
- Greeting patients and other clients at the Practice in a courteous and efficient manner
- Answering the telephone promptly and professionally
- Making appointments for patients through the patient management system (Clinic to Cloud)
- Assisting with putting on and removal of Holter and blood pressure monitors ( training provided).
- Issuing patients' invoices, receipts and processing payments.
- Gathering medical records and reports in readiness for consultations.
- Scanning and filing medical records after use
- Dealing with referring doctors courteously and helpfully
- Dealing with emergencies when necessary - Basic Life Support required ( training provided)
- Typing daily clinical correspondence.
- Drafting and circulation of marketing material.
- Basic tidying including vacuuming, wiping down desks, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, washing up.
- Exercising confidentiality in regard to patient care and all aspects of the Practice
- Contacting Medicare for claims queries and disputes
- Basic trouble shooting for printers and computers

Revesby Cardiology is located 3 minutes walking distance from Revesby train station and is conveniently accessible.
Skills and experience
- Must be fluent in English (essential)
- Minimum 2 years medical receptionist experience
- Willing to travel to our Mascot and Revesby practices on different days of the week
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in use of MS Office applications including MS Word and MS Excel.
- Willingness to learn use of patient management system - Clinic to Cloud.
