About the business:
Join our established patient support program at Partizan Worldwide, dedicated to improving the lives of people with Parkinson's disease. We're looking for an experienced and passionate registered nurse to join our national team of specialist nurses. As a Specialist Support Nurse for Parkinson's Disease, you'll provide excellent education, training and support to patients, making this a rewarding opportunity.
About the role:
- As a Specialist Support Nurse (Parkinson’s Disease), you'll use your exceptional interpersonal and clinical skills to initiate and titrate new patients onto device-assisted medication within the hospital setting over a period of up to 10 days.
- You'll also educate patients and their carers, deliver follow-up support virtually and in-person, and provide education and training to healthcare professionals within hospital and clinical settings.
- The role is based in Sydney, with travel to Regional NSW plus you'll need to travel to other states occasionally.
- You'll have flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home, and we offer ongoing training and a very competitive salary and a car allowance package.
Skills and experience:
- To be considered for this position, you must possess current AHPRAnurse registration and have at least 8 years of post-registration experience in primary and secondary care.
- Experience in complex disease state fields such as neuromuscular and movement disorders, neurology, critical care, and stoma nursing is desirable.
- Compassion, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
- You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commercial acumen, and be computer literate and tech savvy.
