About the role

Are you looking for a dynamic opportunity with a fast-growing, ASX-listed, global company?  Ai-Media (ASX:AIM) is currently on the hunt for a Technical Support Specialist who is eager to add value to a purpose driven company!  This role can be done remotely and applicants from any state are welcome to apply.

Technical Support Specialist will be involved in supporting internal staff members and external clients both reactively whenever they are having problems and proactively to reduce the quantity and severity of any problems occurring in the first place. This role will be based in the UK to support staff and clients in the EMEA region, but part of a global team. As the Technical Support Specialist, your key objectives will be:

  • Provide first level of Technical Support. Respond effectively and in a timely manner to any problems or incidents that may be occurring
  • Work with the technology team to proactively improve the end user experience
  • Reproduce/confirm product defects to submit to development to rectify

About You

  • University degree in an information Technology related field; or equivalent experience.
  • A self-starter that is comfortable working autonomously, has a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn from industry experts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders across the business and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to keep cool under pressure, have exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to document technical issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Amenable to work on call during weekends and holidays.
  • Outstanding skills in communication, planning, motivation, and cross team collaboration ‘
  • Collaborator with Problem Solving and critical thinking, ‘Can-do’ Mindset and a client centric focus.
  • A team player with positive and proactive attitude who can contribute to a goal-orientated team and achieve outcomes.
  • Essential technical skills
  • Prior experience in a Customer Support/Customer Service role
  • Basic experience with Linux
  • Basic experience with networking concepts

Desirable technical skills

  • Industry experience in broadcasting, live video streaming, or live transcription (experience with EEG products is a huge plus)
  • Public Cloud Services, particularly AWS
  • Any technical certifications related to networking, Linux, AWS, or broadcast technologies are a plus
  • Prior experience with ticketing systems like ZenDesk
